A personal project. The goal was to create a prototype of an app in Figma for touch screens, design user journey and flow, visual hierarchy, personality etc. An educational quiz game designed for primary school children. All graphics and design were done by me.

The friendly pen guy, the mascot of the game.

The kids learn about various topics by taking quizzes in categories such as geography, animals, and history. It’s also possible to see user’s statistics and unlock more avatar profile images.

The app icon is a close-up image of the pencil mascot to make it easy to spot among the other apps on the screen.

Paper prototype. I created a paper prototype to define the visuals, journey, and flow.

Quizzes. User has to pick one correct answer from multiple choices. The hint button gives the clue, and alternatively, the user can skip the question.

Victory screens.

All frames, the journey: splash screens, start frame, quiz frames, victory screens, etc. After defining user flow and journeys, I created the graphics using Figma and Illustrator.

The colorful cartoony illustrations are aimed at children and are easy to read at a glance.

Splash screen. An easter egg feature: If the user taps the mascot, it says “haha, that tickles!”.
